PASSPORT SERVICE INFORMATION UPDATE (January 2020)
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THIS MISSION NO LONGER ACCEPTS ANY PAYMENTS FOR PNG IMMIGRATION & CITIZENSHIP AUTHORITY APPLICATIONS.
- PNG passport holders applying for a new passport must contact a PNG ICA approved agent to handle their passport application. Payment of fees must be discussed with the agent.
- To replace lost or damaged passports, kindly follow the above advise
Registration
You are all encouraged to register with the Mission as soon as you arrive in the UK. In particular we encourage visitors and students to register so that we can introduce them to the PNG community and to our activities.
Furthermore, in the event that you find yourself in difficulties, the information you provide will be used by the Mission to assist you.
This information will not be divulged to any third party without your consent.
When you leave the United Kingdom, please inform the Mission so that we can update our records accordingly.

Dual Citizenship
Dual citizenship is now permitted with the following countries:
- Australia
- Fiji
- Germany
- New Zealand
- Samoa
- United Kingdom
- United States of America
- Vanuatu
Please Note: All former PNG citizens are reminded that dual citizenship is not automatic and those that have obtained a foreign citizenship and are in possession of a foreign passport have consequently automatically lost their PNG citizenship.

Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages
To register any Births overseas, kindly go to www.immigration.gov.pg and follow the instructions.
Please note that all babies and infants are required to have their own passports. Follow the guidelines and procedures on how to apply for a new passport to acquire a passport for your baby soon after birth.

Authentication of PNG Marriage and Birth certificates
If you are required to have your PNG Marriage or Birth Certificates authenticated for visa purposes, send the document to this Mission to have these certified for you.

For non-citizens who were married or were born in PNG, and require their PNG Marriage or Birth Certificates authenticated for marriage or immigration purposes, you may send the document to the Mission and we will have these certified for you.
